How'd you get your nickname/what does it mean?:
Soy Boy has a very special place in my heart and its origins will not be revealed here.
Runner I kind of made up myself - which I realize is a big no-no when it comes to nicknames -
but the idea was me always being the runner-up in tourneys, but never able to get over the hump
to first place. I don't think the nickname applies much lately... :-/
[Editor's Note: What Jer fails to mention is we rejected 'Runner' and wanted to call him "BridesMaid"
but he'd have none of that. Rightfully so - that's an AWFUL nickname to get stuck with.]
Favorite game to deal:
Straight seven card stud. A classic.

Your best played hand ever, that you can remember:
May not be the best played, but it sticks in my mind:
At the GEPPI I'm dealt A-10 offsuit, I raise and everybody drops execpt F-ing Phil.
The flop is A-A-J with two diamonds. I check it to Phil but he doesn't bite.
Turn is...the fourth Ace. Sounds nice, but I basically have the deck crippled with four Aces.
Not much I can do with it except to check it again and hope Phil bluffs at it. He doesn't.
Big surprise. River was another diamond - so there were some possibilities out there...flush,
straight, etc. I could only hope Phil got a piece of it somewhere along the way. So I bet
really big - bigger than I usually do, to make it look like I'm full of shit. Phil really
thought about it for a long time, but eventually laid it down.
Your worst:
Too many to count these days. I've been beaten with pocket Kings and pocket Queens more times than I care to remember.
Who gets your goat at the poker tables? Who would you just love to break at the tables?:
I think I get my own goat - I'm my own biggest obstacle. I have to admit I do enjoy taking pots from
Eric and Dave - probably because we've been playing together so long, everybody thinks we've got each other
figured out, but sometimes I'll pull a fast one on them and it feels good.
Are you anyone's goat that you know of? Anyone you know that YOU get to and if not anyone you'd like to pester?:
I believe I am Jimmy's goat. For whatever reason he has a hard time beating me, and that's just as it should be.
Let's hear your "poker resume'"; Place in any tourney's? Played poker in Vegas or at the Rockford games? You up or down in your poker career?:
I stick to home games and private tourneys, for the most part.
I've ventured out into the Rockford charities world a couple times, but that's about it.
Play online? Where at?:
Occasionally at Party Poker, but never for real money. Not YET, anyway...

Definitely a dream, but probably not a realistic goal.
