The 2006 ABE is underway! Although we (and when I say we, I mean *ME*) missed out on the death of Lou Rawls, we still got this
boat in the water and sailing before Ariel sharon, 2006's odds on favorite, flatlined. So, you're in luck. Hopefully, sharon isn't.

1 Day into the Abe and we already have points on the board! That's a record. Virgin Abe-ster Karen leads out for the 2006 edition
when Shelly Winters buys it on January 14th.

The Abe founder himself is on the board with a whoppin' 45 points to snatch the lead, when
Wendy Wasserstein buys the farm.

the list of celebrity deaths. Starting off to be quite a year for the Abe.
Here's the fun part:Al's age is in dispute.
Some sources report 1910 was his year of birth (as stated by Al himself) while others say 1923 is correct. Pretty big difference.
We'll give you Abe-sters the bigger points for now (17), but realize once this is finally settled, *IF* its settled, you could lose points.

3 celebrity deaths and us Abe-sters only got one of em...you're slacking people! But 2 of you did have Mayberry's finest on your lists. Don Knotts
helps Kevin and Brian move further up with abother 18 points, but not enough to take the lead.

Ray Meyer, former legendary coach of the DePaul Blue Demons, went to that final four in the sky. Scoring 8 points for Brian who hit his THIRD pick of the year
already. Sheesh. Nice job Doctor Death. But not good enough to take the lead. Still trailing yours truly by one stinkin' point.

The ABE returns in it's new website home!
Too many deaths to give details on all of them. What is crazy is up until recently, only missed out on a couple...then the holidays come and people are dropping like flies!
Joseph Barberra (yabba dabba doo!), the Godfather of Soul and so much more. We'll get this thing crankin' again and see who's leading with only a few days left in '06.
